Training overview
At the training session, the Disaster Management Policy and Technology Center introduced the main functions of the software to support the on-site operation of the inter-reservoir, including:
- Making and managing the inter-reservoir operation schedule;
- Automatically synthesize rain, water level and reservoir monitoring data from the Vietnam Disaster Monitoring System (VNDMS) and send it to consulting units for calculation;
- Automatically receive calculation results from consulting units and aggregate them into a common form;
- Automatically build a report from the results of the consulting unit;
- Display the calculation results of the consulting units in chart form and compare the calculated results with actual data.
At the training session, staff of Disaster Management Policy and Technology Center also instructed the reservoir calculation units to use the software.
Then, on June 14, 2021, Disaster Management Policy and Technology Center also organized an online training session for 06 consulting units involved in the calculation and operation of reservoirs in the Red River - Thai Binh . On July 1, 2021, the Center continued to organize online training on the use of software to support reservoir duty for 10 basins in the Central region - Tay Nguyen.

Through the training sessions, the consulting units in charge of reservoir calculation realized that the software has advantages such as: Automating the steps in the inter-reservoir operation: Synthesizing data and sending to applications. consultant; summarizing calculation results from consulting units; prepare daily reports of the lake watch team; Automatic data extraction from VNDMS system for calculation consulting units; Automatically synthesize calculation results and build reports; Manage and store uniformly calculated bulletins of consultants, daily reports and measured data of lakes in the basin: Water level, flow, time and quantity of open/closed discharge; Evaluate the calculation quality of the consulting units by time period. and Support the management of the shift, synthesis and timekeeping of the officers on duty. At the same time, the consulting units also have practical suggestions to edit the software to better serve the calculation and operation of the inter-reservoir in 2021.
