On the afternoon of September 23, Mr. Ho Quang Minh - Vice Chairman of Dong Giang District People's Committee confirmed, a woman drowned from swimming across the river in the district.
According to Mr. Minh, at about 15:00 on September 22, after visiting the field, Ms. Arat Thi L. (65 years old, Co Tu ethnic group, residing in Ra Lang village, Jơ Ngay commune) waded across the R'lang river (the section which flows through Ra village Lang) to go home.
While crossing the river, Mrs. L. unfortunately was swept away by fast flowing water, missing.
