Vinh Phuc: A tornado collapsed a wood workshop, causing 3 deaths and many injured

10:4:28, 18/06/2020 A heavy rain and tornado brought down a timber factory in Vinh Phuc, killing 3 people and injuring many.

Initially, the storm and tornado occurred around 18:00 pm on June 10, causing houses in the area of Trung My, Binh Xuyen, Vinh Phuc and some factories in this area to be unroofed.

Colonel Tran Van Binh - deputy director of the Vinh Phuc Province Police Department - said that due to the tornado flow, the factory area of Kieu Thi Junma Company collapsed. At that time, many workers were working.

A sudden tornado caused 3 deaths and 18 injuries.

Immediately after the incident, leaders of Vinh Phuc province were present at the scene, instructing functional forces to conduct search and rescue. Director of Vinh Phuc Department of Health Nguyen Thanh Hai said that the incident resulted in 3 deaths. 18 injured people were treated at the provincial general hospital, initially stabilizing health.

The factory building collapsed due to the tornado.

Tornadoes appear in Vinh Phuc due to the influence of the compressed low pressure groove combined with wind convergence above the level of 1,500 m. In the evening of 9-10 June, outside of Vinh Phuc, many northern provinces had thunderstorms.
