Tornadoes collapse and blow roofs off 7 houses in Ben Tre

10:30:40, 19/09/2022 Information from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Ben Tre Province, on the afternoon of September 14, said that two tornadoes had occurred in the area, causing damage to many people's properties and houses. .

According to initial information, at 3 p.m. on September 14, in Thua Tien hamlet (Thua Duc commune, Binh Dai district) a tornado appeared, knocking off the roofs of 7 houses. In which, completely collapsed 2 houses of Mr. Nguyen Van Nho and Ms. Nguyen Thuy Kieu; 5 houses of nearby households also had their roofs blown off.
In addition, the tornado also sank Mr. Phan Truc Mai's boat, which was scratching the seashells on the way to the shore; Many properties and crops of people were also damaged. According to initial statistics, the damage was estimated at about 300 million VND.
Immediately after the incident, the Commanding Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Thua Duc Commune coordinated with local authorities and people to fix incidents, clean houses and assist people in stabilizing their lives. living.
