Quy Nhon: Some places flooded 1.5m deep due to heavy rain and the water on the mountain collapsed

As noted by the reporter, in Ghenh Rang ward, the flood flow was very strong, fast flowing, flooding many residential areas, some places flooded from 1-1.5m deep, making it difficult for people to travel. . Many vehicles that could not move in time had a mass stall.

Mr. Tran Dang Khoi, Ghenh Rang ward had to use a long sign to block the door, carefully glue the part in contact with the brick floor to prevent flood water from entering the house, causing property damage. Other households living in lower low-lying areas urgently move to higher positions to avoid temporary shelters. Mr. Khoi said that in the past 2 years, when it rains heavily, water from the top of the mountain and other areas overflows, so in less than 15 minutes, his house is knee-deep. Families must prepare items in advance to actively respond.
This is the second deep flooding in Ghenh Rang ward in just over a month. Partly due to the consequences from the massive construction of many new works that affect the flood drainage, this makes people's lives here turned upside down when they have to "live" with this situation often.
Mr. Vu Huy Hao, Vice Chairman of Ghenh Rang Ward People's Committee said: Faced with the above situation, the commune has directed the commune militia and self-defense force to coordinate with officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard Command to support the migration. relocate people in heavily flooded areas to the headquarters of the area 2 people's living quarters for temporary accommodation. At the same time, assign people on duty to promptly handle when bad situations occur.


Small traders in Ghenh Rang market moved out of the flooded area.

According to a report from the Commanding Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Binh Dinh Province, heavy rain has flooded areas 2,3,4,5 of Ghenh Rang ward. Heavy rain is forecasted to last until November 22. There are 53 reservoirs with overflowing water, of which 20 are full of water, the possibility of floods in rivers in the province with an alarm level of 1-2; somewhere above alarm level 2.
