Lam Dong: Taluy landslide in the night killed one person

15:47:35, 19/06/2023 The bank of about 8m high suddenly collapsed in the night at a house in Loc Chau commune, Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province, causing the sleeping couple to be buried, the husband died and the wife was injured. .


Rescue forces deployed measures to rescue victims during the night.

Initial information, the landslide occurred at about 23:30 on the night of June 17. At this time, in Bao Loc city, heavy rain occurred. Mr. Nghiem Dinh Quang's family (40 years old) consists of 5 members who were sleeping, when suddenly, the bank of about 8m high behind the house collapsed into 2 bedrooms. In it, completely buried the room of Mr. Quang and his wife.
After the incident, people helped bring Quang's two children and his grandmother out from the next room.
Receiving the news, leaders of Bao Loc City mobilized rescue forces to coordinate with the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Team of Area 3, Lam Dong Provincial Police (located in Bao Loc City) to deploy rescue and rescue measures.


The landslide lasted for more than 40m, threatening many houses in the area.

After nearly 2 hours, the functional forces were able to get Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Lan (35 years old, Mr. Quang's wife) out of the landslide area and transferred to the hospital with minor injuries. Mr. Quang was later found but dead.
At the scene, the landslide stretched for more than 40m along the bank of the talus about 8m high. The landslide also affected many households in the area, threatening the safety of 5 people's houses.
