Lam Dong: Serious landslide around the 500 billion dong reservoir, displaced many households.

9:16:20, 07/08/2023 The situation of subsidence and landslide has damaged houses and many hectares of agricultural land of many households, disrupting all activities.


A series of large cracks caused the house to be in danger of collapsing.

On August 2, the People's Committee of Lam Ha district (Lam Dong) said that there has been a situation of subsidence and landslide in Dong Anh village (Dong Thanh commune).
Starting from July 1, the hillside area of the right shoulder of the dam is located outside and close to the construction area of package 13, Dong Thanh reservoir has some cracks with a width of 20cm. -30cm. This crack crosses the production and living areas of 3 households.
The monitoring results show that the cracks are expanding and landslides and land subsidence occur.


Subsidence, serious landslide.

On July 20, new cracks appeared in the upstream of the reservoir. These cracks have a width of 0.5-10cm, across the production and living areas of 2 households.
On July 28, many new cracks continued to appear in the land area of 3 households. Notably, the cracks have a width of up to 50cm and spread to the design area of the bypass of the reservoir project.


Many cracks appear over a large area.

In the area of Mr. Do Van Tai's house, there was a subsidence of up to 1.5m, causing cracks in the walls and floor, causing the house to be tilted and completely damaged. Nearby, the house of Mr. Do Van Dam's family had cracked walls and sidewalks.


The ground and walls of the house cracked in many places, the foundation of the house was moved.

Land subsidence has damaged a newly built solid house worth about VND 3.7 billion of Mr. Nguyen Van Thang's household. Faced with the risk of the house collapsing, this family had to move to another place.
According to local people, there are 4 houses and many hectares of land of 9 households affected by subsidence and landslides.
And yet, the traffic route for travel and production for about 50 households was seriously eroded, 20-40cm wide and more than 1m deep, upsetting people's activities.


Roads collapsed and damaged.

Lam Ha District People's Committee has planned to relocate households in dangerous areas to a safe place.
Landslides and landslides also affect the key cluster of works of the project. Specifically, the ceiling of flood discharge was displaced, the bottom of water slope No. 2 and slope No. 3 cracked crow's feet; Water ramp 4 is pushed sideways, leading to the left wall 2cm lower than the design, the right wall 49cm higher than the design...
