Binh Dien Company provides fertilizer to farmers in saline drought areas

11:20:14, 15/05/2020 In order to share some difficulties of farmers in the drought areas in the Mekong Delta, Binh Dien Fertilizer Company donated fertilizer to farmers, valued at VND 1 billion.

On 12/5, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company cooperated with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kien Giang to go to Linh Huynh commune, Hon Dat district to donate fertilizer to each farmer household including 2 bags of Dau Trau Amoi fertilizer, 10 medical masks,antibacterial, guidelines on the process of rice cultivation under drought and fertilizer use conditions.

The gift-giving program of Binh Dien Company is mainly implemented in localities severely affected by drought and saline intrusion in Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Ca Mau, Kien Giang and Soc Trang provinces from May 12, 2020 to May 18, 2020. With the implementation cost of about VND 1 billion, we hope to accompany and share the community to help people overcome the current difficulties.

In addition to the value of artifacts, farmers will be transferred the appropriate farming solutions by scientists, experts and technicians to stabilize production and raise incomes.

Mr. Ho The Huy - Head of Mekong Delta region said: More than ever, this is the time when farmers in disadvantaged areas are in need of sharing attention from domestic and foreign departments and businesses. With the motto "Farmers' companion", Binh Dien Company quickly cooperated with local agencies such as Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Agricultural Extension Center, Sub-Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, and other agencies. Districts and communes have conducted a review of areas affected by saline drought in recent years. Especially poor households, ethnic minority areas to give gifts to support farmers in the Mekong Delta to overcome difficult times.
