Adjusting members of the National Steering Committee on natural disaster prevention and control

14:4:35, 11/05/2022 Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh signed Decision No. 498/QD-TTg dated April 21, 2022 adjusting some members of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in Decision No. 1527/QD - TTg dated September 14, 2021 of the Prime Minister on consolidating the National Steering Committee on natural disaster prevention and control.


The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control is an interdisciplinary coordination organization with the function of helping the Government and the Prime Minister to organize, direct and coordinate in solving important and interdisciplinary tasks in the prevention and control of natural disasters. prevent, respond to and overcome consequences of natural disasters nationwide.

Specifically, Mr. Le Van Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Public Security became a member of the Steering Committee in place of Mr. Nguyen Van Son.

Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, is a member of the Steering Committee, replacing Mr. Dang Hoang An.

Mr. Pham Duc Long, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications is a member of the Steering Committee in place of Mr. Phan Tam.

Mr. Pham Quang Hieu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs was appointed member of the Steering Committee in place of Mr. To Anh Dung.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, is a member of the Steering Committee, replacing Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa.

Mr. Tran Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Association is a member of the Steering Committee, replacing Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh.

Mr. Hoang Huu Chien, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Border Guards, is a member of the Steering Committee, replacing Mr. Le Quang Dao.

* On September 14, 2021, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 1527/QD-TTg on consolidating the National Steering Committee on natural disaster prevention and control. Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh is the Head of the Steering Committee.

The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control is an interdisciplinary coordination organization with the function of helping the Government and the Prime Minister to organize, direct and coordinate in solving important and interdisciplinary tasks in disaster prevention and control. respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters nationwide. The Steering Committee is allowed to use its own seal to perform the tasks.

Tasks and powers of the Steering Committee are to study and propose to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve important and interdisciplinary issues in natural disaster prevention and control; assisting the Prime Minister in directing, regulating and coordinating among ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Governmental agencies and localities in solving important and interdisciplinary issues on natural disaster prevention and control.
In addition, helping the Prime Minister urge ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Governmental agencies and localities to carry out important and interdisciplinary issues on natural disaster prevention and control; perform tasks under the responsibility of the Steering Committee as specified in Clause 4, Article 25 of Decree No. 66/2021/ND-CP dated 7/7/2021 of the Government and other tasks as assigned by the Government , Prime Minister.
